Part Three — Letting the Stories Speak
The project began with an idea, but it was the stories that gave it a voice.
In Part Three, I share how I began connecting with the people whose experiences, perspectives and memories would become the heart of the I Heart Africa Project.
From guides and rangers to photographers, conservationists, travellers and others who have dedicated their lives to Africa, these were never simply stories about places. They were stories about people — their journeys, their passions, their challenges and the moments that changed them.
I wanted to step back and let those voices speak for themselves.
Because Africa is not one story. It is millions of stories, lived by millions of people.
And these are some of the stories I wanted the world to hear.
